Typhoon Haiyan Pro Bono Legal Initiative

Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, caused catastrophic damage to many homes and lives in Southeast Asia. To help with family sponsorships and other immigration issues for those who were affected by the devastation, the CBA launced the Immigration Pro Bono Initiative for Typhoon Haiyan through the CBA website.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has also committed to fast-tracking new and existing applications for victims of the disaster. The CBA program is intended to provide free legal advice for those who wish to take advantage of this program.
